Like Josh, we have our new Mission President. President & Sister Wade, and their 3 children. We love them, and he is so inspiring.
Our mission is pushing for a record month in baptisms this transfer. There have been so many miracles that the missionaries are reporting on.
It is sad that we will only have a couple of months under his leadership, but at least we will have had the opportunity to know them.
We have our apartment inspections coming up this next week. We get to go and inspect 5 apartments and see how clean?? the missionaries are keeping them.
We've had some hot weather for a couple of days, up to 96, but then within 2 days it cooled off again. The swimming pool at the Nursery sounds like so much fun, and the pictures are great. We'll have to wait until next year for some fresh picked corn.
Love to all of you, dad/roy & patty

Some people just don't like the light of the Gospel shoved down their throat! You just have to feed it to them a little at a time.

July 4th.

Our 4th of July was really good. We had a wonderful concert that was as good as any that we have heard. In the InterStake Center, there is a 1,500 seat auditorium. On our "Temple Hill" they have a Temple Hill Choir, and a Temple Hill Orchestra. They were so good, playing many of the patriotic songs.
When the concert was over, hundreds of people gathered in the parking lot overlooking the Bay to watch the fireworks from all over. We went to the Visitors' Center and helped them close down at 9:00pm, then the missionaries who worked there went to the back where it is all glassed in and watched. Everyone outside had to have blankets and coats as it got chilly.
